Here is good news for you:

Your prayer is valid!

A CALL TO PRAYER
Margaret Hawthorne

PRAYER IS EVERYBODY’S JOB... Luke 18:1 says men ought always to pray, and not to faint (KJV)

I have heard people say “I am not called to be an intercessor”, or “I pray occasionally when I am in a crises, but I don’t spend much time praying.”  Others say, “prayer is not my calling.”   But in this scripture the word “men” refers to mankind, and really doesn’t leave out anyone.  Some people spend more time praying than others.

Actually, prayer is just communicating with God.  If you have made that commitment to be a follower of Jesus, making Him the Lord of your life, you should know He loves you and wants to be involved in every part of your life.  When someone loves you that much, would you consider it appropriate that you would never communicate?  No.   Every Christian should find that place every day to hear God speak to his heart.  Prayer really is a privilege, and not an obligation.  An  awesome opportunity that Jesus extended to believers is found in John 16:23 when He said...  Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you!  What a wonderful promise for our time spent with Him in prayer.
